Sunday I was grateful for peaches. Yummy peach/cherry pie and spiced peach jam come out of my bounty.

Yesterday I was grateful for not working. Just processing the produce I bought is making me wince in pain, even though it's fun to do. I can't imagine how I'd manage to put in a full workday in the condition I'm in.

Today I'm grateful for disposable gloves. Handling hot peppers without them would have been disastrous, what with the cuts on my hands.

Hey you southern-style cooks, I have a question.

Besides frying it, what else is good to do with okra? I've never had before moving here, and have only tasted fried okra. I need some ideas for what to do with the rather large amount I have. I'll probably freeze most of it (yay for vacuum sealers!)
