I wish I was an artist

I really do. I wish I could create a work of art that I'd be proud to display or give to someone. Other than my recent foray into knitting, I don't have any artistic abilities (visual art).

I bring this up because I'm now staring at a very empty fireplace mantle, and it's a glaring blank wall. I want to fill that space with original art. I'd love it if I were able to do so with someone I've created, but alas...I suck in that regard. I took art classes and just never got the hang of it.

I love some of tiltedsideways's work; I wish I had talent.

Oh well. Until I find something we all love; or Will takes a picture that works in that space, I'll just have to continue staring at the blank wall.

GP 2009: Day 5

I'm grateful for having a productive day. I've finally learned how to get things accomplished without killing myself. I've noticed that I'm in better shape in the morning after my coffee, so I do the heavy stuff then. Today I reinforced the shelving in Will's closet and hang the last two pictures. The rest of the day was spent doing other stuff, but nothing too physically demanding.

Yay for productivity!
