Today I'm grateful for my little truck, Ripley. She might be a Kia Sportage, so technically a TEENSY SUV, but her truck capabilities come in handy on occasion. I bought a chest freezer at Lowe's, and there was enough room in the back of Ripley to bring it home. I've lugged furniture, a large open dog crate, and lots of other stuff in her. So while she may not be fast, and her 4 cylinders may occasionally balk at climbing hills, she's still quite the useful vehicle.
And when Liana gets her, I'll be shopping for another truck-like vehicle.

Date: 2009-09-01 11:46 am (UTC)I once put a dryer in the back of a VW Golf, and I had a 5' long glass jewelry display case in the back seat of my Accord. Now, we've got the smallest Nissan truck made (very basic) and know that when it goes, we'll replace it in kind. One small truck, one sedan, a few motorcycles . . . all needs covered. ;-)
I'm glad you got the freezer instead of the tickets. You'll find it an endlessly satisfying resource.
