Or me. Yes, tattoo me.

I want to get the third piece of my half-sleeve done for my birthday. I have the phoenix on the back of my shoulder, the yin-yang skulls on the top of the shoulder and need the third piece representing life on the top of my arm.

This (minus the water and background. Probably keeping the moon):

or this, which is round like the other two tats but not particularly meaningful of "life":

For reference, here are the other two and all three will be connected with the Tree of Life:

What y'all think?

I like the first one, for the theme, and love the second, just because I love it. However, for your theme, the first one, definitely, and with the moon.

First one! Too bad about the water and background ~ that is sweet, too!

Could you possibly get the artist to draw a picture of a goddess sitting facing forward with her legs crossed, and her arms slightly rounded to caress the bottom of the globe-belly, and her head slightly bowed? It would have a more round shape, and still give you the same theme.

Oberon already created a fabulous version of that. :) http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQyDqZd618XEgKyUBGyRYhQGwJWGqXQj1yEBBSlXQAmDmAWbgu0

I've seen the 3D statue, but never the 2D image. Nice!

I was thinking about that, but there's something about the face I don't care for.

Then again, this is a sleeve...it doesn't have to be all matchy-match, right? It'll be the bottom part of the work and going down my arm...which will work perfectly.

I'm just justifying it to myself now, aren't I? lol

I really like this concept and voice support for it, although I honestly prefer the second design above - but mine is the dissenting voice in that, it appears. :)

I like the second image enough that I may have it done on a different part of my body at some point. Maybe at the nape of my neck.

Ummm....yeah. You'll be entertained, though. I get all funky when I'm being tattooed. I go into sub-space and get pretty loopy.

I hope to go to the studio in the next few days and get an estimate of cost and time.

I'm guessing I'll be driving us back to your place, too. Isn't alcohol usually involved in this activity?

I am utterly chuffed to be coming for a visit.

Oh, no alcohol. Alcohol makes you bleed more, and most artists won't work on someone who's been drinking.

I only take a pain pill to help ease the initial pain. For some reason, tattoos actually make me feel better. Probably because my body is concentrating on the needles rather than the rest of me.

I can't get tattooed every time I'm in pain, so I'm thinking of getting a TENS unit. Same type of sensation, same benefit. Without the pretty ink.
